Insomnia
Insomnia Overview:
Insomnia is the difficulty or inability to fall asleep. People who wake several times, cannot get out of bed in the morning, or wake up uncommonly early can have insomnia. Insomnia is a sleep disorder that is generally not considered to be a major medical concern and can be corrected with minor changes in one’s lifestyle.
Insomnia Causes:
Insomnia is caused by stress, anxiety, depression, hormonal fluctuation, allergies, heart disease, arthritis, Parkinson’s Disease, high blood pressure, asthma, body pains and aches, jet lag, certain medications, excess alcohol or caffeine consumption, changes in one’s schedule, overworking, and some people have a genetic disposition for insomnia.
Insomnia Symptoms:
Symptoms of insomnia include difficulty falling asleep, restlessness, headaches, fatigue, shortness of breath, and trouble concentrating.
